The area has several ski resorts.  They are in all directions from the Lodge.  They have slopes for the newbie and for the professional.  The area here also has cross country ski trails

We have the best groomed trails in the state!  Trail #3 goes right by the lodge and cabin.  So you don't have to trailer your sleds!  Also we are about a 1/4 mile from the Junction of T

The color is absolutely beautiful in the fall.  Usually starts the second or third week of September and lasts in good years for about 3 weeks.

The trees can even be pretty in the winter.

Blue Herons are seen quite often, as well as Eagles, Sandhill Cranes, Pilated Woodpeckers, Vultures and of course lots of song birds.

The black bears are often seen crossing roads.  Remember they are wild, not teddys! 

You are almost guaranteed to see at least one of these on your trip.  Be sure to keep your eyes watching for them on the roads.

There are lots of wild critters.  Porcupines, wolves, foxes, coyotes, squirrels, rabbits, fishers, coons, weasels etc.
